Puzzle Print Ribbon Story!

Ever wondered why the Autism Awareness Ribbon is the puzzle print? or why it's those colors?
To be honest before Autism was a part of my life I wouldn't of been able to answer either of those questions and for those out there who aren't in an environment where Autism is a part of your life I would understand completely that you may have never even seen the Autism ribbon. This is why I thought I'd write a quick post showing and explaining the story behind the ribbon.

I did a little Google searching in 'research' for this post and came across a great website run by Cher - a mum who's son, Jonathon, has been diagnosed with Autism - the website has all kinds of links to treatments and information, Jonathon Story and even a page dedicated to Jonathon's grandma's point of view! On here I also found a page of clip art and graphics that Cher has done up for use on blogs, websites, anywhere all about autism which is where I found the above picture - The perfect thing for this post!! - It reads "The Autism Awareness Ribbon - The puzzle pattern of the ribbon reflects the mystery and complexity of Autism.
